For decades, Dr. Michael Greger has been one of the most important voices in plant-based nutrition.

He’s reached millions, made the science entertaining and understandable, and helped introduce countless people to the idea that diet can dramatically affect health.

But Dr. Greger’s newest heart-disease project raises one very basic question:

Has anyone tested the complete program?

Not flaxseed by itself.

Not psyllium by itself.

Not plant sterols, nuts, vinegar, cocoa, wheat germ, green tea, chili peppers, or powders one ingredient at a time.

Heart disease reversal diets like Pritikin, Ornish, Esselstyn, and McDougall were not just collections of promising abstracts. They were coherent programs used with real patients and followed over time.

Dr. Greger is brilliant at finding studies.

But finding a study for every ingredient is not the same thing as proving the program built from those ingredients.
