Try this!

(Adjust ingredients to suit your taste.)


Meetloaf or Meetballs

1 can beans (or 1 can refried beans), pinto, black, etc.
3/4 cup finely-chopped mushrooms (measured after chopping)
1/4 cup shredded carrot
2 tsps veg’n "beef" or veg bouillon powder (or 2 cubes, mashed)
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Other seasonings, if desired
3/4 cup - 1 cup bread crumbs (as needed)

Drain beans. Put into a large bowl.
If using whole canned beans, mash well.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well,
adding sufficient bread crumbs to make
a mixture that, when formed into a ball,
stays together easily.
Form mixture into balls or loaf.
Put into a greased baking pan.
Cover with foil.
Bake at 350 F for about 20 minutes.
Remove foil, and bake for another 10 minutes
(or bake a little longer, for firmer texture).
Serve with tomato sauce or your favorite gravy.
