Thanks Chef Deb. I like your subject line "Low Sodi-yum" :) I don't use salt in cooking either. I actually cook all meals low sodium but I have found out there is a lot of sodium in items that I would never had thought would be high! I love to cook with salsa. Very high! Now I am going to learn to make my own. I saw a bag of frozen peas with 200 mg of sodium! Canned beans can be high too! I will have to start cooking dried ones and freezing them. Thank you for all of your suggestions. I too like to cook with herbs and spices. I plan on staying away from salt subs. Natural is better. My Dad's condition has opened my eyes too!
