Whole Wheat Biscuit Mix

9 cups sifted whole wheat flour (WW pastry flour, if available)
1/3 cup baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbs salt
2 cups solid vegetable shortening

In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
Store mixture in an airtight container.
Use in recipes calling for store-bought biscuit mix.
