Do you live on an island where food is very
expensive? I spend about 100 Euro on food a month
and given I consume up to 3500 calories it's a
wholesome vegan diet (a bit too wholesome since
I'm 9kg overweight) which supplies the full range
of nutrients, including my B12 which lasts more
than two years and my iodine algae (Hijiki) which
last one year. How much do you normally spend on
food when you're not short on cash?

The point is, food is the key to your existence,
so it would make more sense to give up your
apartment and live in a tent for a while while
keeping all the other aspects of your life going
like school. No living in a box wont kill you, but
restricing food intake -even if it doesn't kill
quickly, sure has long term consequences. Someone
also has suggested for you to reach out to
supermarkets and ask for overdate produce, why not
do that?

In the other post you also say that you don't have
a support system, well, build one! Support systems
are free. You got net access, try to locate
charities in your area or other people in your
situation. If you don't want to stop school, try
to find a job that pays better but is below your
current acceptability threshold like cleaning. If
you're pretty, stop school for a year and go to
Vegas to work as a cocktail waitress, you know,
use any assets you got. That alone could give you
savings that would enable you to finance your way
through college. Not Yale or Havard, but what's
wrong with the Open University from the UK?

Or, why not forget about a carrier entirely and
join or found an intentional community?

There are many options, but you're going to have
to start looking behind your cocoon of misery.
Again, stress has addictive properties as well and
sometimes we remain in its clog because the
unknown beyond it seems even more threatening, and
of course, stress also enables the fantasy that
we're doing something and are going somewhere
while in reality we're running on the spot.
