Is it really their diet solely, or is it just another scientific study that just cherry picks what it wants to sell olive oil? Did these same scientists look at their lifestyle, topsoil, genetics and how long were these studies carried out over?

These people usually grew a lot of their own fruits and vegies and ate it fresh, as well as adding locally produced foods from rich non depleted topsoil, as opposed to what we buy in the supermarkets - even '' commercially grown organic foods ''. In a lot of cases just because something is labelled organic doesn't mean it would be near as healthy as food grown by people in isolated communities for thousand of years.

These people lived outdoors a lot and had simpler lifestyles, just like all the long lived people that were studied everywhere. They had good genetics running from generation to generation.

You and the scientists are picking one item in isolation - their diet, when it may actually be the soil, simple active lifestyle, clean air and water and a whole lot of other items as opposed to exactly what they eat.
