I have no doubt that a vegan diet works for various people. Some people seem to do o.k on a hap hazard vegan diet where-as others need a better constructed vegan diet to sustain on.

The problem l have is that people are not taught well in the raw vegan movement, so their chances of suceeding will be lower than it could be imo.

I don't mind what type of vegan diet people do, and l don't mind people doing high fruit diets IF it works, BUT when these high fruit people go out and tell everyone to go high fruit/high carb/low fat...THAT is what gets various people's back up because we know that many people don't do well on such a diet, that is not responsible teaching.

The vegan diet needs to be flexible, so that means the ability to get less calories from carbs and to get more from fat if needed, BUT that also means installing safety measures to protect against high fat such as a very high anti inflammatory diet and one high in long lasting powerful antioxidant phytochemicals from broccoli/radish sprouts and chia sprouts etc. You don't just do high fat without a proper plan, it needs to be done carefully.

The vegan diet takes discipline also because it needs to be worked at for many people. It is a lifestyle, especially a raw vegan diet.
