Hi John,
I agree with you. I always wondered why there were so many vegetarian camps in opposition to each other.

Yet, I also understand Sproutarian, because he wants to proactively help shortcomings in diet, because he knows if the vegan diet fails, then the person will go back to a animal-based diet. Sproutarian is actually a peaceful warrior fighting for animals rights, fighting for a karma-free life, fighting for less suffering.

Before I used to wish for more peace and respect in the veggie community, but now I am no longer moved by it and can't waste my time trying to change the dynamic. I accept that opinions are charged. I accept Brian Clement's strong voice, because he is fighting to save the vegan diet. Same with Sproutarian.

But then I also hear Harley's strong bashing of Brian Clement, because Harley is trying to look out for athletes.

Anyway, I have given up on trying to change anyone. I begged Harley so many times to stop using the f-word on youtube. Fat chance. I gave up. I don't care anymore. Everyone will experience their karma in their own time.

I wonder why Mike Arnstein and his wife don't put up warnings about dates on their videos where they gobble dates down. I wonder why so many fruitarians don't issue warnings after Mike suffered so many they do on cigarette boxes?

I gave up. We each have to be our own lighthouse and live by example.

I have one opinion on this matter though:
Everyone is obligated to save human life, if they want to be counted as a human being. If a person suspects a diet (or severe fasting) will end a person's life early, they can use whatever legal and ethical means are necessary to save the life. If that means a verbal fight, so be it. It's better for it to be civil, but young men are notorious for their rough language and aggression. So, people need to get up in arms about saving lives more than being polite.

In my field, everyone is professional. No one in my profession has time for name-calling or belittling. Extra time is spent in learning and sharing. That is all. That is what I am used to and I tend to completely skip over any posts that involve fighting. This vegan field is completely different though, and i finally just accept it.
