Hi Paul,
(I didn't mention a ton of herbs. These are supposed to be quick responses, not essays.)

It's time for my exit anyway, as I have to focus on my work. This was my first forum. I don't really have time for these forums but the topic at hand was really important for me (fasting deaths and problems and all around deficient diets).

I have worked 14 years as an herbalist and helped everything from massive infections, ruptured discs, herniated discs, arthritis, stenosis, broken bones, all kinds of phlegm problems from asthma, allergies, hayfever, cancer, to organ problems WITH herbs. I practice an ancient form of qigong that has allowed me unique insight into herbs, although qigong is not required to be a good herbalist. Anyway, medical malpractice does exist in herbalism, so there is no guarantee the herbalists you have worked with were good. I have helped many people avoid surgery with the combo of acupuncture and HERBS. Yes, herbs work. A person needs to know the underlying cause of a problem and they need to know how the herb affects the body to be really effective. Many people just guess.

Chinese herbs are amazingly good with digestion. Hands down. One day we will grow more of them in the United states. I have helped many people who were vomiting on chemotherapy and who could not be able stop vomiting and eat with Chinese herbs. In some states, people use marijuana, but I have mailed these chinese herbs to states where marijuana is illegal and plus most people don't want to be high just to stop vomiting.

This is really more of a hygienic forum and you all have taught me more about NH. I agree, Gosia has good advice.

Thank you to everyone for sharing. We may not have agreed, but we did peer into each other's points of view. IT's what needs to happen to create respect in the vegetarian community.

best wishes.
Peace be with you.
