I think everyone means well, I really do.

I think doing inner work is probably even harder
to do than changing one's diet.

It's on ongoing process. It's also very scary.

I was a psychology major in college (didn't
finish the degree but very much continued the
learning and education) and what I've noticed is
the humanness of all the raw leaders.

I wrote a post about T.C. Fry and how his
alcoholic father no doubt contributed to his own
difficult adult relationships and communication
and this added to the stress on his health:

I think this missing and overlooked link is why
some people live to 100 while smoking and eating
meat, etc, and why some "perfect" eaters suffer
ill health.

One of the books we studied in our course work
was "Head First" by Norman Cousens who pioneered
the mind/body connection when he healed his
connective tissue disorder by watching funny
movies at the hospital and took intravenous
vitamin C.

We can raise our blood pressure and cholesterol
just by being stressed.

So, a good calming routine and self-empathy and
getting to our core beliefs that no longer serve
us and also forgiving ourselves and those that
have hurt us by sharing our painful spots with a
trusted and skilled other person goes a long way
towards healing disease and upgrading our quality
of life.

I see deep wounding in David and Doug. They are
human and their healing in these areas would
definitely bring about professional benefits, but
no doubt health and personal ones as well.

I sincerely hope that happens.
