Hey Gina,

I too have worked with people with MS and put them on a Green Juice Protocol with lots of GOOD FATS, NOT PROTEIN, to rebuild their myelin sheath.

Here are a couple interesting snippets from my file on MS:

"Sclerosis means induration or hardening. p. 99 ...the problem does not start as sclerosis (hardening), but as an inflammation. p.100 ...the sclerosis does not belong to the initial stages of the disease. In the early stages recovery is most likely to take place, providing only that all impairing influences are removed from the life of the individual and his blood and flesh are freed of their toxic load." p. 102 -Dr. Herbert Shelton, "Fasting Can Save Your Life"

Here are my notes from a telephone conversation I had with a woman [EM] on 3-17-06. She is 54 years old and was diagnosed with MS in 1999 but feels like she's had it all her life. She started changing her diet 3 years ago back in 2003 when she heard me on the radio with Rudy Tomjanovich, the ex-coach of the Houston Rockets. I coached Rudy T. for 5 months when he was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Five month on a live food diet with 8 to 12 pints of vegetable juice a day and Rudy was cancer free. I brought him on the radio with me to share his good news that a raw vegan diet reversed his cancer.

This woman was so impressed with Rudy's results that she started eating less animal products and she saw good results. She told me that balance is a big problem for MS patients and that her balance has improved! Her pain has also improved and the tremors in her left hand has improved. She said it was hard for her to breathe...she could not exhale and that her breathing has improved within 2 months of changing her diet. Her voice also changed in 1999 and was getting worse and worse...it was shaky and now has improved 100%!!! She explained in detail how bladder control is a big issue for people with MS and that now she doesn't have to even worry about it. Another benefit she noticed is that her skin feels smoother and nicer.

She credits all of this to listening to me and changing her diet. She was even writing a book on 5 Reasons to Give Up Meat but gave up because people did not listen to her and ridiculed her.

Talk Show Host Montel Williams uses Raw Food Diet to heal MS

In an article on http://www.pr.com/article/1033, celebrity talk show host and Daytime Emmy award-winner Montel Williams revealed that his raw food/whole food diet has be a key factor in his emotional, mental and physical transformation.

"It's amazing how good I have been feeling."

Montel also commented that his recent dietary shifts have significantly healed his MS:

"I've been able to mitigate a few of the symptoms that I have or at least lessen their severity. I think the more I stay with this and the cleaner I get, the better and better I'll be."

[I saw Peggy from Long Island do the same with her MS in two weeks at Creative Health Institute. Two years later, her husband tells me she's still symptom-free. - Jim]

Montel was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) in 1999 and has since started the The Montel William MS Foundation. The organization is "dedicated to furthering the scientific study of multiple sclerosis."

Montel looks like he maybe writing a book about the entire experience it too! Score one for the veggies!

PR.com: How are you feeling these days… physically, emotionally or otherwise?

Montel Williams: I guess that is in reference to the fact that most of your readers will know, of course I have MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and I've been dealing with this for about seven years. It is an everyday struggle. Every single day I am aware of the fact that I have this illness. But, I've said this since day one, and now it seems to become the new battle cry, "I have MS. MS does not have me." And it's not going to. I exercise every day, I stay on top of my diet. I'm in the process of 'guinea-pigging' myself now for a new book I 'm about to write, about food. You truly are what you eat. I've now been on a six month eating regimen with two different chefs, that has been whole food and raw food chefs, who have been preparing food for me every single day. I'm going to make it simple so that anybody else can do the same thing. It's amazing how good I have been feeling. I've been able to mitigate a few of the symptoms that I have or at least lessen their severity. I think the more I stay with this and the cleaner I get, the better and better I'll be.

PR.com: Do you notice a change in your mental state from eating this way?

Montel Williams: Without a doubt! Mental acuity is… well I have a pretty precise memory. I can sit down and focus on something and memorize it in less then two minutes and walk away.

PR.com: What about your emotional state?

Montel Williams: Emotionally, it has helped my depression, without a doubt. Since I've started this, about a month and a half in, I have noticed that my ebs and flows almost seem to stagnate. There are not big swings. Though I've had a couple of moments, where… you know I suffer from depression. But I've not fallen into what I consider one of my holes since I've started this diet.
