>>>Gina's comment: I have assisted people through
healing crises and also assisted in detoxification.
I also, as an herbalist, have assisted people with
both mild and massive infections. There is a huge
difference between them!! One of my raw teachers
with Doug's idea cited on 10/18/2012 (in the above
email) thinks it's fine to get infected, because the
pathogen will just clear out unwanted debris, and
only the good tissue will remain!...that the
pathogen cannot damage truly healthy tissue! So this
kind of attitude shocks me, Gary.

-I do not see how his statements leads to your
statement above.

>>>>>Regarding Doug's statement:
"Immune system only exists if you accept the idea
that you can be immune to the responsibility for
your own actions. I don't accept that idea."
I want to point out that this world is generally a
product of other people's actions, not our own, so
the immune system is there to protect us against a
whole world of danger, far beyond what we eat and
are responsible for.

I don't see how his statement is in conflict with
yours above as "actions" probably is inclusive with
what you're saying here.

>>>>Isn't the immune system topic relevant here as
to how Leah's infection was handled during the fast?

Not necessarily. lennie or leah or another intern
would be able to answer that better, but I don't
know what he knew at the time, or what he thinks
about infections. I do know that he has not
precluded the use of antibiotics in some cases.

So this could be a misunderstanding of what he has
said. Of course what he says is not relevant, as we
need to make our own decisions based on the
available information, regardless of our
circumstances.
