I have been really impressed with Ross Horne's writings, and have modified my diet to have more fruit and salads, although my health is generally excellent. I had a copy of his health Revolution and a couple of updates, including the 4th one, which is a turnaround from the totally Pritikin diet, to the vegan view view. I also have a copy of Improving on Pritikin, and could be completely persuaded by his research and theories, but a small niggling question keeps intruding -if he had eaten almost exclusively fruit for about 10 years, why then wasn't his "milieu interieur" pure enough to resist him getting prostate cancer. That he died from cancer shook my faith badly. I am not saying his ideas don't work, they are excellent and can help most people on a "normal" diet. I found myself craving the starch carbs when I just went on fruit and salads, and determined to indulge once a week on the grains. Anyway, I have just naturally drifted away from eating wheat products over the years because I didn't feel good after eating them. But corn and rice I love.
