Hey Herman, Higher levels of sugar can also damage the endothelium, and my recollection is that Esselstyn's diet restricts you to a maximum of 3 fruits. I would also look for other simple carbs, like breads from white flour that might have crept into your diet.

Lets face it though; even though your trigs are a bit high, your other levels and apparent results are enviable. So, while you might want to see if anything is slipping into your diet that wasn't there a year ago, or more likely, in different quantities, I'd recommend the same thing the Christophers' did on TV so many years ago:

"It is better to light one candle, than to curse the darkness."

You are a success story.

I struggle with my own sweet tooth.
