Many soy products are made from defatted soy beans. (They are simply spun in a centrifuge to extract most of the oil, losing no nutritional elements except fat)

For example, Mori-nu Lite tofu, which comes in a box that doesn't require refrigeration until opened, is about 14% calories from fat (CFF). When combined with other ingredients that are fat free, the meal is less than 10%.

Edamame (boiled soybeans in the husk) and other soy-based foods may be as high as 65% CFF, so they're off my list.

It's always best to read labels first.
