I pray that you have the same success with osteoporosis that you have had with heart disease. I also reversed my heart disease with a vlf vegan diet. However I do take some supplements that have animal products in them, fish oil is one. When I had my heart attack, which the doctor called a widow maker, because it was a 100% blockage in my LAD artery, I was put on about six medications. Now I am only taking a low dose statin and aspirin. I also take vitamin D, a multiple, CoQ10, liver tablets, gingko biloba, calcium and magnesium, and vitimin b-12. I have recently slipped a little in my diet (to accommodate family meals) but I am now rereading Dr. Essyltyn's book and am going back to the strict form of the diet I was on for two years. I am 61 years old and I still work, take care of a partially disabled wife and mother and a grown son who has mental problems. Without the diet and supplements, I probably would not have the energy to do what I am doing. My numbers are great. My blood pressure is always 110/70 and my total cholesterol is 105. Although I haven't been to the gym in the last three weeks because of business, I usually workout several times a week, running for about 20 to thirty minutes and doing strength training. I also pray a lot and thank Jesus, my Lord and Savior for providing me with the resources to get healthy and the ability to take care of my family and a high pressure job. People like you inspire me to keep going and I want to thank you again for all your posts. Without you this would not be the forum it has become.
