I have been following Dr E pgm for 7.75 yrs and have fantastics results and am in great health. However I am now getting a bit to thin for my size. When I started, I was 325. The first yr and quarter I lost 125 lbs and then over the years maintained my weight at 5lbs per yr lost so now down to 175. This is good according to tables etc, however I do look gaunt and my wife and son are concerned. I am 6"1"". I really don't exercise other than walking about 30 to 60 min per day. Also pretty strict about following the diet to the letter. Lunch and Dinner always has beans as a component. In addition brown rice with every meal as well. Each meal size tends to be 3.75 cups of veggies and beans plus 2 cups cooked rice and greens as a side or other veggie I might have on hand. Breakfast always .5 cup dry steel cut oats cooked along with 2 tbl of rasiens, cinnamon and three small apples all mixed together. I drink 3 qts of water per day usually 1 with each meal. No other beverage. No nuts, soy products of any kind, bread, pasta and deserts other than fruit or any chips or for that matter pre packed foods. I make everything myself and stick to the basics. Lots of fruit, at least 5 pieces a day. The only seeds I use is a tbls. of ground flax per Dr E. mixed in my oats.

So I am quite satisfied and I eat alot of food, yet I am developing this gaunt look. Never thought I would have this problem after a lifetime of being overweight!

Anybody else having similar issues or some suggestions, especially those who have followed VLF for five plus years..
