Sorry, in my last post I omitted, unintentionally, the most important aspect of craves when in Vegan lifestyle:

I do not feel tempted by meat or by animal products (cheese, milk, eggs, etc). This aspect is the most important when reversing CAD, as I understand that animal protein is the major cause of arteries diseases. The other craves (coffee and french bread - VLF)are not major cause of CAD, but are harmful due to weight and blood pressure, among others.

In my case of crave for meat and animal products it happen about the same time frame you mention for cessation and I can confirm what you wrote:

“What amazed me was that after the first 45 days when I started 7.5 yrs ago all my cravings for the non compliant food I was eating prior stopped. This was reported by Dr E and was documented in early research by Dr Barnard.”

But using the same techniques that I used to deter the other craves, this last crave cessation was easier because I got mad about the products that made me to have CAD and meat / animal products are by far the killers.

Thanks God I never smoked in my life!
