I agree that the major objective is to avoid a heart attack and Plant Based food is key first step to achieve it. Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn is my first hero in my efforts to get informed. However other steps can and should be given after that first one. It is benefic to have a well balance plant based food, as other factors help to heal a heart and improve life quality. A pro vegetarian dietitian can help a lot with suggestions on how to get a daily variety of plant based food that have most of the ingredients with enough vitamins and other nutrients. We have to keep in mind that each person is different and old habits are most of the times hard to correct without pro and family support. I had a lot of help with a pro dietitian, who with the joint works with my doctor changed my old habits for a healthier way of life. Also very important it is daily exercising. Also is interesting to get informed as much is posible, reading other authors, among them our Dr. Pinckney, Dr. John McDougall, Dr. K. Gould, Dr. Dean Ornish, etc. Also the videos available here on the past Healthy Lifestyle Expos sponsored by VegSource.com are good motivation to a better liffestyle change.
