A clear message is simple -- and simple to follow. The following is the black and white version -- very simple.
Overly cautious? Draconian? Perhaps and perhaps, but I can't apologize for 'better safe than sorry', even if it
could certainly be put more diplomatically. A surprising number of people who desperately need this
information have heard it -- and paid not a blind bit of notice -- hence this "Just the facts, Ma'am" version.

For 33% of those under sixty five, the first indication of heart disease is ... death.

menopause, so they can't get (too) cocky.

John McDougall - 20% of his patients do the right thing and are generally successful in other areas of their
lives. 40% need a shock -- possibly a very serious medical problem -- before they would change. The final
40% are hopeless. They will not change. "And they often exhibit destructive behaviour in other areas of their
lives."

"I don't see why it is considered radical to recommend a plant-based diet and conservative to cut people
open." - Dr. Dean Ornish. "Bravo" - Dr. Esselstyn.

Follow Esselstyn's diet one hundred percent and you need never count calories (for fat or for weight) ever
again. Can't do it? Willpower of a gnat? That's too bad. Because from here on death from heart disease is surely
suicide by fork and spoon.
