Yes, it is good to have a physician to help guide you through your healing. But, it is not likely that many of the wonderful pregressive physicians as those on this forum will take insurance, or be easy to find. You don't want to just find a recommendation for an "excellent cardiologist" as generally common opinion will lead you straight into the conventional paradigm. Since you have angina, it is likely to lead quickly to either stent(s) or even a bypass. I also have angina. I sought out a progressive preventive M.D. She was happy to help me without a cardiologist. She carries all of the books by the authors on veg source and suggested a plant based diet, some supplements and I am getting weekly IV EDTA treatments. My angina is already improving. She has done extensive testing, and continues to retest frequently for all body systems, allergies and the lipids test has so many sub categories that are risk factors besides Total cholesterol, HDL, LDL,VLDL and triglycerides. Inflammation is usually part of the problem along with atherosclerosis. I am so happy to have this non invasive option of healing available. I don't think people realize how difficult it is to find a doctor that won't intimidate you into their primitive and invasive protocols. I do take medication for my blood pressure, so you need a sympathetic doctor who knows when to prescribe drugs, supplements and when something is actually a medical emergency.
