Angina can be triggered my many things, among them exercise, stress, and large meals, which cause a greater demand on the heart.

The process of digestion is fueled by blood pumped from the heart. If flow to heart muscles is restricted by plaque, the extra demand that is not being met can result in angina.

Having to take nitroglycerine or other medications regularly after meals to alleviate angina is something you should discuss with your physician - soon.
