I agree that recipe books that aren't specific for reversing heart disease require careful examination for each and every recipe. And, yes, that is a pain.

But in fairness, Rip Esselstyn's book isn't aimed at those of us who are reversing coronary artery disease; it's for the general public who are on their way to the emergency room, but don't yet know it.

For someone who doesn't have blocked arteries (or at least isn't aware if it) Rip's book is a good starting place. Hopefully it will wake up and motivate people to make lifestyle changes.

If I'd read that book and followed its plan 20 years ago, I probably wouldn't be running this website today.
