Herman,
have in mind that my doc is a traditional medical professional. He does not believe in reversal and says that if we just can stop progression it would be just great. I told him that I would prove that it can be done and that I would be his first client to have reversal. He said most patients would not adhere to a plant food style and that almost none come to new visits with even better tests results. Most patients just continue with old style with a lot of fat and animal cholesterol and he is just busy to process them...
I would be surprise if such old style professionals would speak and write like Dr. Esselstyn about VLF and plant base food. I myself find a big resistance of friends and relative when I try to convert them to plant base food, even showing what it does to my blood tests. My son has high cholesterol, but would not give up of steaks. So is with my wife, that just accepted the pill solution (statin).
Some even say they would prefer death... can you believe it? I think doctors would not speak for vegetarian diets to customers for not to annoy them and because they are not oppen minded about vegan style.

I was even very surprised when he suggested to stop with the beta blocker, as I thought he would be in favor of just pills solution.

About the statin he also suggested to stop, but I told him that I would rather stay with it because of the anti-inflammatory benefits and because tests have proven that the statin I use (Crestor) has partially reversed arteries deceases.

About the Brazilian food, I posted a recipe of Feijoada, vegan style some time ago. If you donít find it in the old posts, send me an email that I would try to find it in my machine.
But just as a suggestion: if your Brazilian friends are just visiting the USA for the first times, they are more interested in American food than in our national plates. Donít you think so?
Think the other way around: if you go to a foreign country what would you rather prefer?
