It is very good that you want to become a vegan after being a vegetarian. The most important thing about being a vegan to me is learning about it. It is a big change to make in this society and the more you learn about it the easier it becomes. There are so many foods that taste good out there. Hamburgers, ice cream, and all kinds of junk food. We can eat them if we want to, but to me being a vegan means I we are looking for a better way to live.
The transition from vegetarian can take years and it doesn't matter how long it takes. Remember this though...whatever you eat is what you will crave. If you want to stop craving something then stop eating it. People who eat doughnuts...crave doughnuts. People who crave pizza all the pizza all the time.

Saying no to animal products is the greatest decision I have ever made, but it was also the hardest decision I ever made. So many people try to criticize your choice, and there are so many foods that you no longer eat. I like to think about the foods I can eat now and not worry about the foods I used to eat. I got plenty of those foods growing up. Here are a couple easy vegan meals I like.

- Baked sweet potato fries. Find the recipe on line. It is so simple.
-Vegan pizza (pizza crust, tomato sauce and veggies and vegan sausage)
-The best snacks are fruit. It can be expensive, but a canataloupe is the perfect breakfast. Bananas are nature's version of junk food and if you eat 3 or 4 they are pretty filling for a snack.
-Cliff bars are good snacks.
