Subject: Seeking Advice

Hello, I recently made the decision to return to vegitarianism but this time I have decided that become entirely vegan. This is going to take quite a bit of adjusting considering my husband is a meat enthuiast. I can adjust to just about everything except I am very very *very* fond of shellfish. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to step past this? Also does anyone have a list on hand of things that the average person (me) wouldn't normally think were vegan (i.e. I read the white sugar isn't vegan because of the charcoal filtering process). Thanks a bunch!
