You've decided to go vegan because, in your heart, you know it's morally correct and humane. Don't look at this change as giving up anything. When I went vegan you would never have guessed in a million years that I would. A chanced search in a used bookstore for the Rachel Carson book, Silent Spring Started it all. Not trying to bore you, when I grabbed the book a voice encouraged me to read Animal Rights by Peter Singer if I really was interested in the Environment. Well, right after that I went vegetarian. A few weeks later a historic march happened on Washington called the March for the Animals. I've been vegan ever since. The one thing that I did early on was to associate myself with like-minded people that would understand my journey. Most, or all of your friends wont. You'll get incredibly discouraged without vegan friends. If there are none in your area, which I doubt, then frequent this board like a junkie. This is your support system and we are all here for you. Enjoy the wonders of a vegan diet. It is the most healthy thing you can do for your body and it also means that you're not contributing to the massive destruction of our lands through factory farming.
