Professional Experience:

1964-65: Scripps Hospital, La Jolla Calif. Initiated Emergency Department (First Chief),

1965-67: Southern California Permanente Medical Group, Sunset and Edgemont, Los Angeles.

April to June 1967: Bac Lieu General Hospital, South Vietnam. (Volunteer physician in charge of civilian pediatric ward).

1967-70: Los Angeles County Hospital Emergency Department.

April 1970 to present: Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, Emergency Department.

January 1997 to present: Director-Kaiser Permanente Vegetarian Lifestyle Clinic (VLC)

Outside activities:

1950 Big Ten Trampoline Champion. Currently learning triple-twisting backward triple sommersault, using bungee spotting rig. 
Sponsor/Coach of Hawaii Highflyers Trampoline Club at McCully Recreation Center, Honolulu.  
Sailplane and hangglider pilot with commercial rating for single and multi-engine aircraft.

Other interests:

Physics, math, classical music, computer technology. Freelance writer (Mensa Journal, various popular and vegetarian publications).
Composed and produced music CD "The Farewell of Icarus" in 1994.
Vegetarian Society of Honolulu (VSH) Newsletter Editor 1990-1996
Current Video Coordinator for VSH and producer of 40 vegetarian educational tapes for public access TV.
