All Things Plants - with the Esselstyns!   LIVE next weekend!

The Esselstyns say:

Gather Your Family and Join Ours!

You're Invited to the first Plant-Strong Primer: a Weekend Family Learning Lab

As we slowly start to emerge from quarantine, now is the time to do all we can to optimize our health and shore up our defenses from the inside out.

You and your family are invited to join in the first-ever live weekend online event hosted by Plant-Strong. Learn how to start, how to maintain and how to thrive.

This Interactive Weekend Family Learning Lab will take place from Friday, May 15th to Sunday, May 17th, 2020—and it’s all online!

We know that whole, plant-based nutrition has the irrefutable power to help people lose weight, drop blood pressure, lower their cholesterol, and fight back against Type II diabetes and heart disease.

We also know that 97% of people hospitalized for COVID-19 are battling at least one of these chronic symptoms. Let's do all we can to strengthen ourselves by harnessing the power of plants.

Gather your family and join ours for a special weekend devoted to the science, inspiration, and the practical application of a plant-strong lifestyle. Take your laptop into the kitchen or head out into the backyard as you tune in together.

When you register, you'll receive an ingredient list to make meals along with us. And we’ll take some exercise breaks throughout the weekend too! Partial proceeds will benefit the Esselstyn Foundation—a public charity currently providing plant-strong meals to healthcare workers on the front lines of COVID-19.

Please join us and register today.

P.S. - If you are recently unemployed and unable to purchase a ticket, we have scholarships available. We want everyone to have access to this information!

High Plant-Fat Diet Promotes Disease

In PART TWO of our two-part series, today we look at some of the well established research on plant-based diets - that began nearly a hundred years ago.

As you'll see, the low-fat plant-based diet is the ONLY diet proven repeatedly to reverse heart disease, prevent or reverse some cancers, and extend life.

Research began as far back as 1927, and very early it became clear that by lowering total fat intake using a plant-based diet - including lowering fats from plants, like oils, nuts, avocados and olives - people can reverse heart disease.

Those now championing a higher fat plant-based diet - have to ignore nearly a century of evidence.

This is Part 2 of a two part series on the relationship between health and fat content of plant based diets.

Don't Be Duped By Bad Science

A small but increasing number of plant-based doctors have started recommending higher fat intake and olive oil.

Some are suggesting the optimal fat intake is 30%, so long as it's "healthy" plant-fats.

Today we look at some of the research these doctors cite to back up their recommendations.

This is PART ONE in a TWO PART series on research showing healthy plant-fats consumed above a certain level are shown to promote heart disease - and cancer.
