There's noone that I actually " follow ". I originally undertook eating
this way a couple of decades ago after reading Ehret's books. I also
undertook a fast of reasonable duration on my own at the same
time. I had heard of the title of the main book and had been
searching for it for a long time. Most of the bookstores I asked had
never heard of it except for one second hand place which was
gigantic and of course he didn't have anything organised so it could
be located easily and I didn't even know what it looked like at that
stage or that it concerned a fruit based diet. All he could do was to
tell me to try the health and self improvement sections which
contained hundreds of thousands of books. Sometimes I spent an
hour most times 4 - 6 hours sometimes even longer looking for it. In
the meantime I kept asking health food shops or bookstores that I
discovered in my travels with no luck.

I'd had excess mucus secretion problems for years but didn't know
which route to take. 2 of the early books on health that I had read
were written by Paavo Airola and Paul Bragg. I even chased up a
recipe book by Bragg as well and followed it to the letter along with
information in Airola's book which ironically was called "How To Get
Well" and to my horror I got heaps worse not better. I was buying
large boxes of grains, local honey in bulk and making up home made
muesli.

Then for the other meals other starchy ingredients were used freely
(woops, don't like that word anymore). Both diets outlined starches
be used as the main ingredient with other veggies thrown in. Trying
to recall if fruit was given much of a mention at all and I don't think it
was. An older friend of mine who had been involved with the hippie
movement and read a lot of books including ones on alternative
health would suggest different things to me which I would dutifully
put into practice. E.g. He was the first one to suggest that dairy
could be the cause so I switched to soymilk. That wasn't the main
cause as nothing really improved by as I'd been assured it was a
healthier option I stuck with it but I was still expelling large amounts
of mucus had throbbing headaches where it felt like the forehead
level of my head was in a bespoke vice and the inside felt like it was
under high pressure pushing outwards and of course the medical
industry who caused all my health issues in the first place had no
bloody idea. For each particular issue they wanted to treat it
separately. I still recall sitting in the office of one of the senior
doctors of the country's premier allergy clinic. After the myriad of
tests I had received over numerous visits there he asked which of
my health issues I wanted to treat first and I was ropable. The issue
that I did end up mentioning as I was curious to see what these
ghouls would recommend. It was a prescription drug called
Rhinocourt so I let him write out the scipt without any intention of
having it filled. I just wanted it written down so I could do some
research on it. I then said to him that it didn't make any logical sense
to have to treat all these things separately as they all eventuated
from having one needle. He gave some lame bullsh*t reason and I
walked out if there totally pis*ed off but was slightly aware that was
going to be the outcome even before I had gone there. Coincidentally
when I was passing the front desk I heard one of the nurses address
someone who's name I knew which was the head professor there.
He was cordial and I talked with him for around 15 minutes. He said
I was welcome to come back and talk and even be prepared to be
my treating physician. (Battery's going flat and don't want to lose my
entire post like yesterday so I continue this in a second post)
