Hi Susan. Good to get someone new on this board. Hope you stay and contribute.

In the past the health / raw gurus would say '' look at me, I did this or that and I am great ''. The problem was that they didn't look at the people who did the same as they did and had either no results or bad results. If you are going to offer something as working in most to all circumstances you need to make sure that is the case. You can't put your head in the sand and ignore all the '' failures '' - you can't just point to yourself and a handful of others.
In the past they could get away with it, but now with the internet they can't get away with saying something and repeating it without it being questioned.

On the other hand, because some people have had problem X, Y or Z on a 100% raw diet, you can't assume that everyone will have that same problem.

Also, unless you give these people truth serum can we actually believe that they have genuinely been 100% raw for as long as they say - and if they occasionally cheated or binged would they admit it!

At one time Charlie Smith was 112 and the longest living person in the US. When they asked him for his secret to long life he said '' I eat a can of sardines every day ''. So can we extrapolate that by eating a can of sardines every day we would also live to 112?
