el-bo,
As an aside you're in Spain aren't you?

BJ,
I hope by your % reference you weren't alluding to the fake,
dishonourable, lying, fraudster, seemingly botox using duo.

I agree with both of you. I've mentioned before that I've talked a
number of times to Bill Mollison (permaculture coinventor) and I
think the government should have carrot and stick programs for
farmers regarding permaculture basics. Government funded
teaching programs should be set up with tax concessions given to
those who implement the basics (wind-blocking trees, water capture
and saving techniques, etc) and tax penalties for the rest.

Lower animal consumption would also result in a reduced health
care budget. Recurring dietary recommendations suggest a
maximum of 3 meals a week be based around meat but we have the
incredibly popular TV cooking programs (Masterchef, MKR, etc)
basing virtually every meal around meat with vegetables being an
afterthought.

Animal products along with hydrogenated fat containing and fast
food products should have a levy/tax applied and concessions
applied to fresh fruit and vegetables.

The whole situation reminds me of a song by Jimmy Cliff called
World Upside Down. Look it up on youtube.
