I am no expert, but what I do out of simplicity sake is to use distilled water to grow my sprouts

I write:

According to Dr Finney that is a very bad idea because the distilled water leaches lots of minerals in large quantities from the sprouts. Soaking seeds for sprouting in filtered mineral rich water is well advised because certain mineral contents are known to increase up to 400% if the conditions are right.

I watched Anne Osbourn rinse her raw chicken in her kitchen sink for her cat. That would be a big problem in a sprout kitchen. My cats and their food are not allowed in the house where I have human food.

Yes Gina, l have two wonderful pussycats, none-the-less l am very careful with them in regards to contamination and sprouts. Every time l leave the kitchen or go to bed l cover my benches with paper in case the cats get on the bench/table. I also put logs on the windowledge so the cats can't get on the sink and jump up near the window. I also have to put wire near my sprout set-up outside to keep them away etc. A sproutarian can never have a dog on the property.

They still get on the couch where l sit, so if l touch my pants l must wash my hands before l eat food or attend to my garden etc.

Since l eat raw sprouts l need to sterilise everything (phone, tables, computer etc) and wash my hands all the time to keep things extra clean.
