Of course, diet is a given. I couldn't give dietary advice, because he didn't say where he lived. The given assumption is that he eat the best choices on his 811 diet. The only advice was to try the citrus to help with infection. Of course, I put people on high raw vegan diets and use herbs as a supplemental tool. The same with most herbalists.
However, not everyone can follow dietary advice to a T.
yes, the CHina study should be read by all the CHinese who are eating rich american diets to understand that they really weren't deprived in China eating simpler fare.

I am not saying herbs are all one needs...it's just easy to do at home IN ADDITION to other protocols.

Anyway, even Doug was against garlic? Some buddhists who don't usually eat garlic make an exception in the presence of an infection or TB. If Doug was tolerant of antibiotics in a hospital then how could he be against garlic for an infection? Rhetorical question. I am not looking for a debate.
