Hi Mike,
You could take a neurotransmitter assessment. The assessment determines if you are low in dopamine, serotonin, Gaba or acetylcholine.
I have given supplements to people who are low and it has helped their ADD, inability to concentrate, daytime fatigue and mood. If you test low and you want to try natural without any supplements, talk to sproutarian about what sprouts are good for specific neurotransmitters. You have to be getting in the correct amino acids and enough quantity.
On the other hand, depression can be caused by so MANY things besides neurotransmitters.
One cause can be a brain injury, after a concussion. Any head injuries?
Another cause can be constipation. Are you regular?
Do you have insulin resistance? This is a big question and if so, there is a supplement that can help with this. Of course, sproutarian and Brian would say just to avoid fruit.
Last question: is your fruit organic? Pesticides are nasty neurotoxins and will mess up your brain.
Mike, I prefer to remain anonymous on this forum at the present moment. I am still traumatized over this whole Doug thing, the WFF drama and all the finger-pointing. I would offer to help you, but in lieu of that, you could find someone who specializes in functional medicine, who can take a complete blood test for you.
You can call Apex Energetics to find someone in your area.
The tests cost less than $80 through labcorp. Practitioners are not supposed to charge extra for the tests, but they will charge a consultation fee.
Good luck.
