I have no doubt that green juices and herbs can
help the body heal as well. However like
everything there are issues with green fasts.
Most likely at some point you will have to add
colonics due to the lack of fiber in the juice.
It is very possible to become dependent on
colonics. Years ago I did a series of colonics
and it drasticly impaired my digestion. I hear
good and bad testimonials about green cleanses.
Most of the bad testimonials have to do with
digestive issues after an extended juice/herb
cleanse. But some claim it "healed" their
digestion as well!!

I had bowel movements while doing a juice fast so
no colonics are needed.

Dr Rick Dina suggests drinking juice all day with
a light fruit/and or salad meal in the evening to
flush the juice deposits out.

This is a happy medium if you are concerned about
bowel movements.

Anne Osborne suggests sticking to one fruit for
an extended period of time. While loren lockman
says that it is dangerous not getting an aray of
nutrients by doing an island and to just stick
with sweet juicy fruits as a cleanse. He also
claims that he has seen many people get blood
tests after the fast only to find stabalized
vitamins and mineral levels, so according to him
the body was difficient only because of an
absorbtion issue in the body that is healed
during a water fast.

While normally I would not trust what Loren
Lockman says, I do agree with him about mono
diets. However, he is failing to see that his
logic does not also apply to his water only fasts
as well which makes one even more deficient.
Loren has been caught in lies before so I don't
believe what he said about blood tests
normalizing after water fasts.

There are so many options and I think the best
solution is not to be so dogmatic about one over
the other and to do as much research as possible
and whichever method you try, do a little bit at
a time to see how your body reacts and do it the
safest way possible.

Agreed. After exploring and trying all of these
options myself, the only ones I would recommend
are Rick Dina's advice and the juice fasts.
