Bravo Gina in regards to the mention of Brian Clement's fasting methods. We don't want to go starving the body on water, and we don't want to go pushing the body on very long fasts unless the body is adapted to longer fasting over a period of years.

People are generally nutritionally deficient enough without starving them anymore on water. I girl l am helping recently started to do long juice fasts without telling me and l had to insist she stop doing them...lucky l did because it was putting too much pressure on her body and her blood pressure was going up and she was going down hill fast. I said to her to "do a 40 hour juice fast once per week and no more. you want to build your body up slowly and safely and not push it too hard".

I definitely a big believer in the Hippocrates Health Institute way. Anna Marie Clement reports the same problems with prolonged water fats when she was director in a Europe health center.

Jesus may have fasted 40 days, but it was different times back then (cleaner times, less stress, cleaner food) and he was a special type of fella. *wink*
