YOU:

But they most likley are not nearly as effective
in healing a more major issue in the body.

Me:

Why do you say this? Dr. Max Gerson healed late
stage cancer patients with eating cooked vegan
food with lots of juices. And a host of other
ailments as well. And Joe Cross healed his and
Phil Staple's chronic uticaria with a 60 day
juice fast in "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead"

You:

Would a medical supervised fast cover the mineral
dificiency issue and end the fast before a
dificiency was seen?

Yes:

I just spoke with a client last night who just
got back from fasting at True North. This whole
Doug debacle has made it's way there and they
were talking about it there. She said she went
initially to fast for a month, but they would
only let her do 2 weeks. She said if someone were
vomiting like Leah was they would break the fast,
put them on juices and then bring them back to a
water fast when the vomiting was gone. They
immediately break the fast when the electrolytes
go into the danger zone like Leah's blood tests
revealed when she was in the hospital.

Juice fasting does not deplete the electrolytes
in fact, your system is FLOODED with them.

And your digestive tract is still getting a rest
and your body has the nutrients it needs to
repair damaged tissues.

Keep in mind, folks and this is a key point:

THERE ARE CERTAIN NUTRIENTS YOUR BODY NEEDS TO
DETOXIFY AND IT CAN'T DETOXIFY IF IT DOESN'T HAVE
THOSE NUTRIENTS.

The liver needs certain nutrients to complete its
job. So juice fasting is far superior to water
fasting in my opinion and True North does juice
fasts as well as water fasts.

But I don't think someone needs someone to
supervise their juice fast if they are drinking
enough calories and tracking to make sure they
are getting in the nutrients they need.
