| Subject: | Who has found it difficult to follow the raw food diet when many of its teachers seem crazy? |

I sincerely want to know. I was serious about transforming my diet to all raw foods until its examples, mostly men, show such extreme viewpoints about attaining perfect health as if we are meant to be a superman Aryan race, that it's really turning me off. The most outspoken teachers are very closed-minded, arrogant, and even ignorant that I feel too offended and put down to want to proceed with supposedly healthy eating. All I see is this Neo-Nazi, New Age "spiritual" ideal when none of that is spiritual to me. It's all a ruse of posturing and power play. Therefore, how do the sensible people continue to carry on with this diet while knowing in the back of their minds that it is on the extreme side, and very extreme people are its proponents? I sometimes want to eat animal products and junky food just to regain some reality in the midst of their highly controlled, egocentric methodology. Please help me get back on track, Dr. Gosia, El-bo, MM, BJ, and possibly others like you, not the outspoken bullies who are the subject of this post (and if they still reply, wow that proves my point). I don't necessarily need or want 100% raw vegan foods, but I want to feel that desire toward mostly raw foods again in a sensible way.
