Hi Gosia,
I don't think that lady doubts that veganism works for some people; I just think she doesn't want to do it and so she comes up with wild excuses not to, and I think she is trying to turn more people against veganism to keep her company. I think she is fighting with her own conscience.

With regards to how Harley has changed:
1) he went from strict raw foodist with a high elitist budget for food to a more acceptable budget for the average vegan and a more down-to-earth diet that includes cooked starch.
2) He went from sweet fruits as his main calorie source to lower glycemic calories, such as brown rice, and even including protein to bring the glycemic value down more, like some tofu or soymilk
3)He went from publicly supporting Doug to having to face fasting problems and speaking against dangerous fasting. That was a difficult change, if you ask me, because it's embarrassing to reveal ignorance.
4) He changed his friends.
5) He started addressing the issues that were addressed on 30badsucks. What does it matter that it took a long time...what matters is that it happened.
6) Mike Arnstein gave Durianrider a chance to change his diet to keep his pioneer status. Instead harley made a fruit festival where he taught people how to eat vegan food in thai restaurants, which is something more feasible for most vegans. The change is that Harley went from being self-centered as an exclusive raw vegan to thinking about the masses and how they are going to eat. Actually, this has always been my issue with raw veganism...it's hard to feed the masses on a strictly raw vegan diet.

So that is why I say that Harley will change and adapt.
