I was also diagnosed with adrenal fatigue a while back, and it was my understanding that just about any symptom can be attributed to adrenal fatigue. There are blood tests to measure adrenal function, but usually they don't tell you much because normal is a "range" (so that unless you had been tested at a time when you were feeling well and can compare the two, even if you're "normal" it may not be normal for you!). I think that rather than worry about the limitations imposed by the diagnosis, it was easier to go forward with 811RV and watch the adrenal fatigue resolve itself.

I put your typical day's diet into Chron-o-meter like this:

1 Grapefruit (no Pomelo, and Google searches indicated it's a chinese grapefruit, so I thought this would be comparable)
9 Persimmons (no option for "large" so I added an extra)
8 medium bananas
1/2 head of cauliflower
1 head of romaine
1 cup cherry tomatoes
1 cup cilantro
2 stalks green onion

This is only 1477 calories!!! (although it is 90/06/04, good job!) Seems very low for someone 5'6"/135 pounds, even without any activity and a desire to lose weight! Plus I think I probably over estimated on the tomatoes, cilantro, and maybe even lettuce, no?

If you add one medium avocado it brings it up to 1841 calories, and changes the ratios to 76/06/18. You mentioned that when you go higher fat/veggies you tend to add salt? Salt takes a while to get out of your system and makes your body retain water...

When I first went 811RV, I did not lose any weight, and I had a very difficult time with exercise because of pain and fatigue. But the only option was to move more, otherwise I would forever be at the lower edge of my nutritional needs (because I had to keep my calories low to avoid gaining weight), and I would never thrive. I didn't start doing marathons & weight lifting, but I did walk as much as possible -- I would park further from the store or school, use stairs (I used to make extra trips up and down with laundry at home), walk the dog, go to the park with the kids, whatever. The point is, since I had been doing next to nothing because everything hurt, adding even tiny bits (every day) made a huge difference. Eating 811RV helps with the pain issues, as does moving! This probably has as much to do with what you are no longer eating as is has to do with your new high nutrient diet. If you haven't already heard this, eating wheat, dairy, and for many, nightshades, (tomato, potato, peppers, eggplant, tobacco), garlic, and onions can exacerbate pain symptoms. And it doesn't take much of the offending food to set it off. If I spent a day resting, I would often feel worse the following day, just from the various aches and pains of disuse. Also sleeping became easier when I was physically tired.

Shortly after reading 80/10/10 I did a consult with Dr G that resolved my questions, issues, and concerns. while consulting with him, things began to improve immediately, and now, over 3 years later, arthritis & back pain are gone, my sleep is actually restful, which lowers stress levels, which makes things feel better, which makes you want to exercise, which helps you stay 811RV, which normalizes weight, and so on, and so on. It's a self-fulfilling cycle, so everything really just gets better every day I stay 811RV! I was also extremely sensitive to cold -- below about 60 degrees and any touch to my hands would be excruciatingly painful! But that, too is gone (I live in NH and this is the first fall in years that I've been happy to be outside!). Consulting with Dr D was the best thing I did in this journey, and I highly recommend it to anyone who finds the 811RV lifestyle (including the exercise component!) challenging for whatever reason. I came to 811RV from high fat RV (after eating "healthy" cooked for 35 years). 1 year of high fat raw nearly killed me, and I spent a long time reversing the damage it caused, so the last thing I would do is go back to high fat raw in an attempt to lose weight.
