When you see something you want to eat late at night, pick up a
book. Think, banana = book. Go read a chapter of a book, then see if
you still want the food. If you still want it, tell yourself that the food
isn't going anywhere and it will still be there in the morning, and one
banana will suffice. Also tell yourself that 1 banana is enough because
"A", they are all the same bananas and you only need a sampling of
the taste, and "B", this is only something to hold you over until your
next real meal, and not a meal unto itself. You can also try setting the
precedent of all meals are preceded by physical activity, thus, another
reason to not eat a full meal and just have a small snack, since you
are not being physically active and earning the meal.

I hope those help!
