My 4.5 month old baby is about 13 pounds and recently when she feeds at the breast she will start getting really agitated until she pulls off and starts itching her eyes and nose very intensely. She'll even try to strongly rub her nose into my clothes because it itches so bad. Then she'll want back on and will then repeat the exact same behavior. She will pull off as many as 10 times in one session until she starts to cry out of frustration. It doesn't always have to do with the flow as it could be coming at any speed and she'll still do this, however she'll pull off and start itching more often on an emptier breast.

Is there something in my milk that is causing this? I've eliminated all the common allergens from my diet. She does seem to be having a little more greenish poopy diapers lately too.

Any advice? thoughts?

Thanks a bunch!
Shelly
