Subject:	Vaccination

My child is about to start 1st grade at a new private school that teaches a great deal of classes outdoors. I felt it was important that he have his tetnus shot. The health department tried to get me to sign a paper saying that I knew I was putting my child and others at risk by not allowing him to get a whole myriad of shots. Of, course I refused and they reluctantly gave us the tetnus anyway. They said I would have to sign it to get my child into school, but does this apply to private school's as well? I live in Michigan
