Hi there! I am a homeschooling mom of four and have just found out that our 7-yr-old son is dyslexic(?) I don't even know if I can spell it yet. He was just evaluated last week after 3 long years of struggling with high-functioning autism and ADHD. The dyslexia is a new one for me. It has been recommended that we put him in special ed classes part-time as he can't grasp how letters make sounds (we've been working on the alphabet for 3 years) but I am having such a hard time thinking of putting him in the local school for even half a day. Is it possible to homeschool with a child that has this? Are there any good websites to go to to learn more about this and how to help him? We live on a tiny island and are very limited as far as medical care. The Dr. that did his evaluation flew down from Anchorage. Pls offer any suggestions..I feel even more inadequate than usual but still I know that God is able somehow. Thank you, teri
