This is a step-by-step guide that teaches paragraph by paragraph, with lots of exercises, some grammar lessons, topic ideas, and sample essays. There are samples at the greatsource.com site where it says it is for grades 4 through 10. You could use it with a strong 4th grade writer and easily through middle school level, or with a high schooler who struggles to put a sentence on a page. It is NEW condition because I bought several at one time.

I can't say enough about this workbook. Held on to this for a long time (student is now 19, lol). Before we used this workbook, my son HATED writing and had a lot of difficulty organizing ideas and knowing where to start. This workbook helped him get over his "writer's block" and a few years later when had to write his SAT essay, he pulled a high score (twice) and is getting A's in college when his class requires essay tests.
